NeuIntel, LLC, and its subsidiaries (“PriceSpider” or “we” or “our”) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy.  This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains data collection and use practices of PriceSpider in connection with: (A) this website (www.PriceSpider.com), (B) the PriceSpider platform, and associated module(s), (C) third-party websites and services, only if those sites and services includes direct links to this Policy; and (D) any other services provided by PriceSpider [collectively, the “Service(s)”].

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from www.PriceSpider.comwww.Orisintel.com (the “Sites”), or through the Services (unless such third-party site includes links to this Policy).

This Policy may change from time to time (see CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY below). Your continued use of the Services after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Policy periodically for updates.

PriceSpider collects several types of information from and about users of the Sites and our Services:

The Where To Buy Services

When a user comes to a Where to Buy (“WTB”) page/site, PriceSpider will attempt to distinguish the user as a new/unique user by assigning an “Anonymous ID” to the user. This Anonymous ID is produced by combining the public IP-address of each user, with information related to each users browser type, operating system, and system configuration information (“Anonymous Device Information”).  The Anonymous ID cannot be reverse engineered back to any individual user or IP address, and PriceSpider does not store any user IP-address or the Anonymous Device Information for longer than 14-days.  The 14-day storage of the IP address is purely done for IT security purposes.

PriceSpider aggregates all of the data associated with all of the Anonymous ID’s generated by PriceSpider.   The aggregated data allows PriceSpider’s customers (i.e. brands and manufacturers) – to see what products or types of products (categories) that end-users ultimately ended up purchasing through the WTB widget, and to see what other retailers and stores that were browsed (i.e. “Category Data”).  The Category Data does not disclose the Anonymous ID’s that were used to generate the Category Data – the Category Data is high-level aggregated data that allows PriceSpider’s customers to learn more about the purchasing decisions of groups of end-users that browsed sites connected to the WTB.

PROWL offers/utilizes a browser extension application that can help PriceSpider search and find public information on products sold by online retailers.  In order to use the browser extension, customers must sign into PROWL.  When a signed-in user uses the extension service, PriceSpider give the option for the user to collect, process and store information from the websites they visit within the PROWL framework, such as page url, product pricing, product quantities and availability. PriceSpider does not share information about a user’s research activity with any third party unless required by law.  Users of the browser extension may deactivate the browser extension feature at any time by removing it from the extension settings in their browser.

  • Information About Your Equipment, and Usage Details.
PriceSpider stores your user-agent string, and the page that you entered the site with (known as the referrer).  The user-agent allows PriceSpider to determine each end-user’s browser type, operating system, and basic system configuration information. The referrer information may allow PriceSpider to determine pages and files viewed by each end-user and the searches performed by that end-user. This information is used to analyze overall trends, and to help PriceSpider provide and improve our Services.
  • Web Beacons. Pages of www.PriceSpider.com, orisintel.com, and any emails that PriceSpider may send to you may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit PriceSpider to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email, and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity).
  • Cookies.  Cookies are small data files that are placed on an end-users device to monitor how the end-user interacts with websites and other online services. Most web browsers allow you to erase cookies on your computer, disable cookies from your computer, or notify you when a cookie is stored on your computer. Remember to set your cookie preferences for each browser and each device that you use to access the Services or Sites by accessing these setting, usually located within the “Help,” “Tools” or “Edit” menus in your browser.  There are several other services available that can assist you with managing your cookie preferences, including browser settings and plug-ins, industry groups and standards associations, and tools provided by the cookie providers and social media sites. www.allaboutcookies.org is a site that offers more information on ways to manage and block cookies.  The primary types of cookies used by PriceSpider in connection with the Sites and Services listed below.
    • The Location Cookie.  PriceSpider uses a location cookie to personalize and enhance your user experience while using the Services.  For example, if you are using the WTB, and find a product that you wish to purchase at a brick-and-mortar retailer, PriceSpider uses the “Location Cookie” to store information about retailers located nearby that carry the products that you are interested in purchasing.  Disabling the Location Cookie will cause you to have to re-enter your location (i.e. zip code) when prompted by the Service, in order to locate stores that carry a desired product – however disabling the Location Cookie will not materially impact your ability to use the Services.
    •  UT-ID Cookie.  At times PriceSpider’s customers (i.e. brands and manufacturers) want to know if certain advertising or promotional campaigns led you to view or purchase their products.  As a result in certain instances PriceSpider will utilize the “UT-ID Cookie” that is provided by Pricespider’s customers to determine whether you came from a hyperlink that originated from particular online advertisements.  Disabling the UT-ID Cookie will not materially impact your ability to use the Services.
    • UT-Param Cookie.  At times PriceSpider’s customers (i.e. brands and manufacturers) want to know information related to your browsing and purchasing behaviors as you browse sites that the WTB links to.  To do this, in certain instances Pricespider will utilize the “UT-Param Cookie” to get information related to your browsing and purchasing behaviors as you navigate to seller sites that are linked to the WTB. Disabling the UT-Param Cookie will not materially impact your ability to use the Services.
