Pros: low cost, attractive switch, netgear products have always come thru for me.
Cons: the switch does not have cooling fans, also the switch is NOT the width of a standard rackmount swith, altho when brackets are installed it WILL mount in a rack as it should, basically I am saying its not a large case switch, its a medium case.

Pros: transfers from my windows server 2008 system to multiple other vista computers has been amazing on this switch. I am not sure if it is the network adapters on my server or the switch, but with two 100mb adapters from the server to the switch, there is an actual transfer speed (to two computers simutaniously) of 11 or 12 mbps for each (24mbps in total!...

Simply Works -- Simply! Yay -- no electrical-transformer brick that can fall out of an outlet! Instead, this switch has an honest-to-goodness AC cord permanently attached to the switch on one end and with a dual-prong plug on the other end (with no brick in between, either). Pros: I really like that this uses the standard universal power plug and does not have a wall wart power adapter.
Cons: it would be nice if it had a 1000base uplink port, but i knew that this product did not have one when i bought it.
