Best bang for buck!!! 1TB of storage... nuff said.
Bought this as a companion for my Fujitsu U1010. I use it to keep my video files, mp3s and documents. No switches, small power adapter, quiet and looks like a hardcover book. The USB 2.0 is pretty slow but I imagine if it were equipped with eSATA or firewire port it wont be as useful.
The best part? I only paid $257 for it. If you're not worried about the warranty, just take the drive out of the external case and plug it in your computer. It sti...

OK Drive, good power handling UPDATE 2007-11-25:
Would change review to 3 stars if I could...
So far so good with replacement drive...
The drive is properly spinning down after periods of inactivity, and it shuts itself off completely when disconnected or when the computer powers down. It appears to be running cool, but it's hard to tell since there's no side of the case that physically touches or sinks heat from the drive. Transfer speeds are about 30-35MB/sec on my machine, not too bad.

Quiet, lots of storage, good price The drive runs very quiet. It powers itself off at times of inactivity. The transfer speed is decent, can't ask for much more from a backup drive. The price is reasonable. It also comes with simple backup software right on the HD.
The only minor issues I have are 1) the included mini-usb cable is about 3 feet long, and 2) when your PC is not shut off, the drive still has its light on even though it's sleeping. This light is very bright in a small room at night. Other than that, it's v...

Great storage capacity and sleek look This external drive has an excellent amount of storage capacity (which is obvious from it being a 1TB drive) and has sleek looks as well. That is something that may not be important to some users, but I like all my hardware components to have matching aesthetics and it goes with my Dell XPS 420 perfectly.
