Good Way better than my 3 years old SONY, and back then I paid same money:( Has gallore of options, plus flash works realy good for P&S camera! Love face tracking, works wery well! Good built quality, mine says made in Japan, looks upscale. LOVE IT!!!

I got this to upgrade my very old Sony that drove me crazy with the slow time shot. The Canon SX-100 was a great choice because I didn't want just 3x zoom like mostly P&S cameras have, so the zoom was the most important point for my decision. I am not an expert in cameras (but you can find technical reviews here from experienced users), though I will write my empirical opinion considering also what already was told here.

| | | Great Camera Wife just opened it Christmas Morning so not a lot of time to tell how good it is but so far its Great!! Took some pic's with very good detail I was amazed. Takes very good video also. Maybe I can come back and edit this when we learn a bit more about it.
