Nice budget camera I was looking for an ultra-compact camera, and ended up buying this one after doing some serious research on different web sites, and comparing the Pros and Minuses of each camera. | | | First digital camera This is the first digital camera I have ever owned and I am very happy with it. It has good zoom, starts up quickly and takes high quality pictures. I especially like the different modes you can take pics in.

| | | Almost perfect I purchased this as a replacement for my Canon Powershot S400, a solid camera that served me well for the last 5 years. Overall, the 850 is an improvement. I'd consider it perfect except for one major flaw, described below. Pros: 1. The Image Stabilization feature truly works.
