Word to the Wise This thing works fine, and this review is less of a review than a cautionary tale. I purchased this fine piece of equipment and got it all hooked up and nothing happened. No internets! omg plz!
Turns out I had to adjust the settings of the modem which is fairly easy if you are a computer geek, but for me it was a bit of a challenge. D-Link support refused to help me on the basis that all they would help me with was knowing how to plug it in and making sure the unit was not defectiv...

Good product - negative reviews mistaken Tech Level: somewhat high

Pros: The Dlink GUI is easy to use and offers fine-grained control of modem settings (down to the level that only very advanced users would care about). For those who don't want the hassle, the auto-configure wizard is pretty good, though it didn't work for my Verizon line (I had to call and ask them to feed me a couple of settings).

Cons: its giving me problems like not connecting to all sites. i can down load things well. some times the thing gets very hot and i cant do any thing till it cools down after i turn it off.
