Kickass little camera! Canon has not let me down yet. After much research, I decided this would be a nice little point and shoot and I was right. It's small, has Canon's fine image sensor in it, and it was very affordable. Of course it doesn't have full manual controls, but you still have quite a lot of options. And the nice thing about getting a Canon is you can put CDHK (http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK) on there and have a whole bucketfull of options and fun stuff. | | | Canon PowerShot SD1000 I use the camera mainly for industrial-type photos. So far I found it easy to use, versatile, and, best of all, it fits in my shirt pocket. The photos are good quality. Basically, this camera meets my needs very well.

Among those compact PS cameras, only Canon and SONY offer the traditional viewfinder which is essential for using under bright sunshine and saving battery.
