I have so many gripes with this, but at a Sub-600 price tag, you can't complain Basically, this is bare bones. The summary of what you'd be getting is a single core processor, half of the notebook standard memory, a decent hard drive, and a tack on DVD drive.
There are no advanced features of this laptop, this is a laptop designed for mobile travel, and really doesn't even do that extremely well.
PROS:
Price - At $600 you can't be to picky at the laptop you want.

Buyer Beware, Acer is Junk Acer is complete junk. Lots of stores are trying to push Acer because of the really high margins they get compared to other brands of laptops and desktops. I have had 2 Acers quit in the last year and a half, with Acer refusing to warranty either one. The first, my laptop, ran so hot that it actually burned the palm of my hand, red burn mark and everything. I called Acer support who told me that's normal. not worth it Tech Level: high

Pros: small light and can even play some games like transformers, directx 10, 256mb video card if update driver. intregated wireless card acer is a good company

get a dual core Tech Level: high
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: bright display, small, does not get hot two hour battery life it portable
Cons: slow get a dual core vista home basic is a watse of money get home premium or stay with xp trust me no aero no transpency and again slow
