Very Difficult to setup for Secure access Bought this as a range extender. One touch setup does not work if you have WEP or WPA security. Setup also has issues with IE7 and Firefox. Their tech support recommended IE6. Told them I did not have IE6 and really cannot go back to it. Instructions for secure setup are non-existent. I had to call tech support and improvise. Almost sent it back until I figured out how to get around the IE7/firefox issue. Basically you keep powering off the router after every change in the setup process...

Works Great I am not a SysAdmin. I know a SysAdmin, whom I called for help during setup of this product, but the most helpful information I got there was "doesn't it have a manual?" and "if you're going to be running this equipment, you need to know how to use it." After I recovered from that wealth of information and support, I did indeed load up the manual (pdf on installation cd) and browed the index for the topic I needed. Well Worth The Price. I was looking at the reviews for the Hawking and Linksys Range Extenders and read that even savvy IT people had trouble setting those up. The Belkin setup relatively easy. When I put the Belkin near my router and pushed the button as per instructions it found the signal easily, BUT when I unplugged it and moved it to where I wanted it (so it would fill the far parts of the house with wireless) it had trouble locking in. Bucks County Ray Hi, This Range Extender really works very well with open systems(no WEP enabled/no Security). If you have WEP enabled which I hope you do to protect your Network, this device becomes rather tricky to setup. As a previous reviewer stated, they required assistance to configure the device.(I think most people will) The good news is that after you do get the range extender up and running it does work great ! Any dead spots should be eliminated and you will get a stronger more reliable signal. Again...
