A review of Panasonic's Warranty Let me first be clear: this TV is awesome. And at that price, it's a steal.
What I am less than pleased with, is how Panasonic attempted to address a 1" crack that developed in the lower-left corner of the black bezel. When the TV was delivered (less than 3 weeks ago), I carefully inspected the unit and found no discernible physical damage. Great Product and good buy I purchased thisTV in January 2007. It replaced a 20 year old 27" SONY . Boy, have I come into the modern TV age with a bang.
This TV has a terrific picture. I can't speak to the set up as my son did it for me but he did not seem to have any problems and made very few adjustments.
The delivery was smooth and uneventful except that it was delivered at 6:30 AM. I guess that is better than waiting all day.
The price came down $50.00 the next week and Amazon gave me a credit.

Excellent TV - UPDATE UPDATE: There is a 3 inch vertical green stripe (from top to bottom on the right end of the screen) that appeared all of a sudden yesterday (3 weeks of moderate usage). The stripe disappeared after I turned the tv off and turned it on after 15-20 minutes. This morning it appeared again. It disappeared after I changed the channel. Not sure what the problem is. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Excellent deal. Best price I've seen on this TV. Even after shipping, it's about $150 less than the local stores are selling it for. Packaging is well designed to make it easy to remove from the box, and setup was very easy. Picture quality is great, although I was disappointed to find that my local cable provider doesn't have HD channels yet. Still, I have an up-converting DVD player--a must have for getting rid of motion artifacts when watching DVDs on an HDTV. The picture is impressive even though it's not t...
