1st timer... This is my first GPS and I love it! It's very user friendly, bright screen that works well for us visually impaired folks, and acquires all satalites in under a minute even inside the house. I'm impressed with the unit it self and the only negative thing I can say about it is that for the small fortune one spends on this devise it should at least come preloaded with City Nav software, instead, one must dish out another few hundred $ on software to get full use out of the unit. The ultimate tool I just bought this GPS few weeks ago. I use it to go off-road in the jungle of Borneo and this is really the perfect tool. A community has built a very detailled map of the region and I can send them the track points and the way points of the trails I explore to enrich the map. The precision is terrific, between 3 to 6m even in the deep jungle. Some improvements could be done to extend the usage of the SD Card but overall this is a very good tool. 1st time GPS user I have played with my new GPS several times since the purchase. I found it to be accurate, easy to use, and easy to carry. I will look into buying aditional navigation software in the future for better ue on the roads. I would reccomend the Garmin 60CSx to all first time users.

great deal this is the best gps unit i've ever used. the reception is great, i have had strong signals in rivers that are deep in densely wooded valleys. with the addition of city navigator and the topo maps, you will never find your self lost on or off road again.

Great Handheld GPS Great little GPS. Great reception outdoors, indoors and even on a plane. If you have kids they will love geocaching with this unit. Purchased maps separately and the turn by turn directions work well and are accurate. Never get lost again!
