AMAZING Plasma at an amazing price! So it has been over a year now, and not one single problem.
I am using this as an over-the-air TV, a montor for DVD's, a monitor for HD DVD's, and a montor for my Xbox 360.
It is all ran through a Yamaha Audio / Video controller, with Adcom amps front and rear, and Polk Audio Reference Speakers.
In my area, I get about 10 over the air channels--Fox, ABC, NBC, OPB and some others I can't rememeber...

Panasonic TH-42PX50U 42" Flat-Panel Plasma HDTV The picture and sound may be gorgeous, however beware ! The one that I got emits frequecy so bad that my neighbours were complaining that it jammed their radios. I have Panasonic technician come out and check it and he confirmed that the frequency emit was high and report back to Panasonic factory, but the factory technician said they cannot do anything, which means that I as the customer and my neighbours have to live with it. In a word *awesome* I think awesome sums it up.
I was lucky enough to get this set, on closeout sale, at my local Tweeter. It was a good sum of money, just under $3K, and that's a good price from what I understand. What made it even better was the fact that I didn't have to cover the entire cost out of pocket.

In a Word, Brilliant! Purchased the Panasonic TH-42PX50U several weeks ago, and every time I watch an HD program (or DVD for that matter), I still can't stop marvelling at the picture quality.
Right out of the box, it is nothing short of stunning. So many folks talk about "calibrating" it professionally etc... And some may choose to do so themselves with the help of a special DVD. Fine. If you must. I could not see spending much money to do so because, simply put, the picture is absolutely incredible...
