Great router I bought this router to replace an equivalent Netgear router because the Netgear router needed to berestarted few times a week. The wrt54gs has been solid for the whole week now. It handles my P2P clients, XBox 360 Live, my wife's wireless laptop at the same time with ease. Easy setup. The only small issue was that I could not figure out how to set up static IPs for certain devices.

Easy to install This router was extremely easy to install. The only thing I would have liked to see in the instructions was a description of the four distinct encryption schemes, their compatiblity with hardware type and how to identify the hardware type of the user. This info is needed for us novices who are not "geek" types. Other than is, the instructions were straight foreward and easy to follow. So Easy A Caveman Can Do It I like Geico commercials (you won't understand the title unless you've seen the Geico series of commercials) and this product. Easy setup and good performance with a ton of configurable security and performance settings. The only hangup with the unit is the number of similar models produced by Linksys: when you go to their Web site to check for firmware updates be sure you get the right one, by turning the unit over and reading the EXACT model number. So far so good I have been using it for two weeks and haven't had a problem. I did have a problem with another unit constantly dropping the connection but not with this. I use it with a new mac powerbook and so it was just a matter of plugging it in to get it to work.... there is a whole cd and installation process that you need to follow for windows. I have not yet set it up so that it's a private network I believe information for that is on their website. I would have liked the instructions for that to be in...
