Pretty good for the money   I have owned a Magellan 700 (basically junk from a company with poor support) and an excellent Garmin 2270. On a recent trip to Italy, we rented a 1-Series BMW from Avis and took the GPS option. The GPS was a TomTom One 3rd Gen. With no instructions, we were able to function with the unit in strange environs. Maps were out of date, Italy has gone nuts putting roundabouts EVERYWHERE, but that was not debilitating. The receiver worked well, even in tunnels! Satellite link-up was quick. Really did... Macintosh Owners Be Ware   The TomTom's functionalities are reported to be accessible through their "TomTom Home" application that you can download from their website. The "Operate My One" functionality (most important function) does not work on Mac's. I've tried for 3 weeks to get their Tech Support to help with this situation, and today they finally admitted that this functionality does not work on Mac's - and then added ...'get over it'... Great GPS for the price!   Can't go wrong for $150, this unit does it all and is nice and easy to use. Battery life is not real good, but it is meant to used in the car and plugged in. Tom Tom One, third edition   The Tojm Tom works pretty well. I find that it sometiimes loses setting, such as voice, when turned off. Also, I had it set to give an alarm for rest stops and it failed to do so in most instances. I suppose they were not mapped. Overall, it is very satisfactory. It is a very god value. OH Boy   Not too bad for the price. I've used GPS systems for many years for fishing and like them. My Tom Tom seems to have a bit of a problem. I can't seem to get to some places by there map system. I put in an address and instead of turning left it says to go right. Problem to say the least. This Item might be going Back.
