Colors Are Too Good To Be True This Tv is ,in my opinion, the best lcd in its size range. It gives you the option to control the backlight which HELPS cut down "edge lightbleed"(I try not to sweat it too much)it's found on all lcd tvs and monitors I've ever seen..
Its kind of hard to see the "lightbleed" in stores because of the great HD connections stores have,,,as well as the high lighted store rooms.
This TV picks up analog ,digital & free HD channels superbly.

Answer to 16:10 Aspect Ratio Controversy All 19 inch HDTV's regardless of brand have a 16:10 aspect ratio.
This is because 19 inch computer monitors are 16:10 and they out number televisions by the billions.
To keep the cost down TV makers buy the same LCD panels made for computer monitors. Unless you would pay $1000 for a 19 inch set, I doubt any company will ever custom order a 16:9 panel for television manufacture.

Sound is horrible. I got this television today and as soon as I turned it on noticed how terrible it sounded. The picture was great, but I couldn't get around the tinny sound that made to tv seem loud no matter how I lowered the volume. I tried manipulating and could not find a decent setting. It's the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard. I generally like Toshiba products so I was very disappointed with this television and am sending it back tomorrow morning. Adequate For the purpose of having an aesthetically pleasing t.v. in the kitchen - one that has to be perched on top of the refrigerator - this works just fine. The 19" screen may not be large enough for bigger kitchens but for mine it's just right. Installation and set up were super easy. It took only a couple of days to get used to the few seconds wait it takes for the t.v. to come on once 'power on' is hit on the remote. We have Dish - set up for combining this t.v. with the Dish remote was easy. ...
