CANON ONLY GET BETTER WITH AGE
 
I started with a Canon years ago (AE1-program). Then to a Canon Powershot SD10 and now I AM THE PROUD owner of a NEW Canon powershot SD1100. You can't go wrong with this camera. Canon improved it to include a viewing port instead os just relying on the display window. They have always made a super product and have me for life...

Performance camera and supported
 
It is obvious from the first picture that this camera is well equipped and capable. Excellent picture quality, viewer is big and controls make it possible to use with one hand. Every feature is easy to understand and the Canon website fills any needs I needed. Not too small or too sensitive.

Pretty Camera with lots of capabilities
 
This was a gift for my boyfriend and he LOVED it. It has lots of neat features, pet recognition, face recognition, takes beautiful high resolution pictures... however it only cames with a 32MB SD memory card... which is very odd.

It's fairly lightweight and fits in pockets easily.

Watch how Amazon ships this if you don't want a broken camera
 
I ordered the Canon SD100 camera and I couldn't wait to get it.

I was inside my house, when I heard a loud THUD on my porch. I go out to find the Amazon box with my camera, thrown on my porch. I caught up with the postman and returned it--refused it, since I don't want a camera that's been dropped and thrown around. The mailman said that since there was no "fragile" sticker or insurance, the box will get thrown around.
I have not yet received a response from customer servic...

Try before you buy.
 
Ever been to a movie that everybody is raving about and leave wondering, "Wha?" When I tried this camera, that's how I felt. The most common controls are buried in a cluster of annoying navigations. The layers of functions might be useful when you've got 10 minutes to fiddle around before taking a picture, but they're cumbersome when you're in point-and-shoot mode. And the face detection works great, if you're a ghost. Highly unnatural skin tones. Your wife will ask you, "Honey, do I really look...
