Been a simple and reliable install for me! Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: I've installed 3 of these so far and haven't had any serious problems. I haven't had to deal with any PPPOE installs with it yet, though. Make ABSOLUTELY sure you plug these (or any HomePlug device) directly into the wall NOT IN A SURGE SUPRESSOR.
Cons: The only hiccup I’ve had was with a wireless connection. I turned on WPA authentication, but didn’t notice the “make AES comp...

Nice Idea, But...... Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg.com
Pros: IF it would work, it'd be great to have connectivity anywhere in the house using house wiring, BUT .....
Cons: Fought with it for 4 days. Was able to finally get the link thru to the access point (hint: the enclosed disc is worthless!!), but it could never 'see' other attached computers or even connect to the internet.

I placed the pla450 at the entrance of the patio and connected it to the old wifi router over powerline. Now I get good coverage for the backyard and patio. Just used a homeplug adapter to connect old wifi to the power outlet – the pla450 comes with powerline adapter builtin so just plugged it to the power out...

works like a charm Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
Pros: 1. It looks good. 2. What surprised me is I knew what I got is an access point, I know I need to configure it with the same SSID and encryption as my wireless router. What I did not expect is before I start to do that I found the computer I conect to got the IP address from the router and I am on line! 3. Supports Super G. I was using zyXEL P330W to be the wireless ""repeater"" to extend the coverage t...
