not good for those looking for more control I had the Nuvi 750 for a week before I exchanged it for a TomTom Go720. I'll try to list my thoughts on the Nuvi750 and how it compares with the other GPS units I have (Mio C220 and TomTom GO720)
My first unit was a Mio C220 and the best thing about it was how easy it was to select custom routes on the fly. add multiple via points and just liked the overall menu structure.

Great for telling you where to go After buying one for myself and giving it a test run, I bought one for our two sons. This is our first GPS device, so I cannot compare it to others. We have all been well pleased with it. It is out-of-the-box ready to use. I'm big on "plug and play." I did print out the manual so I could learn the features. Easy to use, but routes don't always make sense This GPS units works very well...very easy to set up and use. I only have a few minor issues: (1) the route that the unit chooses is not always optimal, (2) if you venture out to a fairly new and growing suburban area, you'll find that the maps are out-of-date, and (3) a couple times when I was looking for a particular gas station, it lead me to a place where none existed. Excellent unit with out-of-date map version The Garmin 750 works very well in places where my Garmin C320 will not work at all (in particular, in a Toyota Highlander Hybrid, whose electronic environment confuses the earlier Garmin unit).
I downloaded current firmware for the unit from the Garmin support site, and have had no trouble whatever with signal aquisition and strength, both of which are outstanding compared with earlier GPS units I have used.

Garmin Nuvi 750 GPS I'm very pleased with the GPS and its performance. I was disappointed that the box did not contain a carrying case which is a must have when you put it away. Not having a fold out antenna is a good thing. I have tried to buy an additional mount (not a suction cup, but the clip that the GPS attaches to) and they are hard to locate. Screen size is perfect and no problems with seeing the images in sunlight.

Best purchase I have ever made You won't be sorry when you purchase this Garmin. Where ever you want to go it will get you there by the best route. Very pleased so far I received my Nuvi 750 about a month ago. The first thing I did was register the product online, and during the registration it declared the unit eligible for the 2009 map update and took me right to the upgrade site. Nice touch. As others have mentioned, make sure you have at least 5GB of space on your hard drive and several hours to do the upgrade. It's lengthy, but it completed without any problems (after I deleted about 3GB of accumulated cruft on my PC).

Nuvi 750 Review We purchased the Nuvi 750 for my wife. The unit is extremely simple to set up and does a fantastic job of providing very accurate directions to your destination.
The only "negative" I would mention is that you have to continually use the Back icon to get back to the home screen rather than being able to just go to the home position with the click of a button.

Excellent Product With One Drawback The Garmin Nuvi 750 is an excellent product and outperforms a built in GPS I had in a previous vehilcle. I chose the 750 because I have a pre installed Bluetooth system.

Pleased, with one caveat As usual, I made my choice using a Consumer Reports rating, and for the most part I'm pleased with the purchase. This unit appears to do almost everything it's supposed to. Almost Perfect The Garmin Nuvi 750 in general is a very good GPS except the followings:
1, The direction is sometime a little too slow. For example when it tells you to turn, it happened after you have almost across the intersection and too late turn turn.
2, the rechargeable battery only list less than two hours, it's too short.
3, try to get message thru FM radio is almost importable. the transmitting signal is too weak.
The mp3 player function with memory card function is good...
