Pros: I got this adapter working in under 5 minutes, just insert the disk and follow the instructions.
Much faster than 802.11g.
Was able to get a connection from across the house.
Works flawlessly with 64-bit vista.
Cons: Gets very hot during use, but doesn't seem to hurt performance.
The proprietary software sucks, but you're able to use Windows instead.

Eay set up Use on my desktop too no wires to move around on clean up day. I have the Netgear router too. We have two laptops and a desktop. Netgear is the way to go.

Terrible Netgear Customer Support The USB device worked OK but not have the speed I expected even sitting next to the router. The metal USB end fell out of the adapter, so I called Netgear because it was over the 30 Amazon return limit (it was only about 50 days). Netgear refused to take it back and exchange it even though it was clearly a workmanship issue. The warranty states "Netgear" will make a determination when the item arrives. Well they wouldn't even give me a RMA to get that far!

Pros: Easy set up with disk provided I was online in less than 2 mins and moving fast, best adapter I have ever had works great,would buy again.
Cons: Gets a little warm while in use but works great.
Other Thoughts: Get on N speed over G you will love it.

Pros: I love this Adapter, Although I got this product at Staples I love Newegg. I bought this card not knowing the specs except that I needed it for a last minute Lan party. Its great- connection time is fast and accurate- the software that came with it is alright but i prefer to use the windows networking setup though. Great Buy- I recommend it.

Constantly freezing up... Works great when it's not frozen. What do I mean? For example, while typing this review, the traffic light on the adapter started a steady and rapid blink. There is no indication that I am not connected to the network but, I cannot navigate the internet or do anything over the network while the adapter is in this condition. The only solution is to disconnect and reconnect the adapter to the USB (so it resets). Some days it only occurs once, other days it's once every 10 minutes. Reading other re...
