Apple delivers a light sexy iPod...just dont lose it! I bought this ipod to begin my workout routine. I also got the Belkin armband for the same reason. This Nano works flawlessly as a workout partner. Its light and packs a punch with sound. Syncs with no issue to my Macbook Pro. My only con is that it is so small it can get mixed up with the other things in my pocket. Get the rubber skin for it. All in all a great piece of technology from the innovative Apple. Highly recommended!

Apple improves the Nano and delivers an enjoyable player. Apple's new nano is designed to improve upon the past models and add some functionality. The improved video, smaller thinner body and updated firmware are enough to make it stand out. The slighly lower price tag is also sure to help sell more units.

a small iPod, just the right size for a pocket Although this iPod has a tenth the storage of its big brother, the iPod classic, it fits perfectly into one's pocket and has, unlike previous generations of iPod Nanos, video and game support, making it feature-wise on par with the iPod classic if not as capacious. It's storage is also the same as the 8GB iPod touch, though the latter includes wifi and the safari web browser, but at about twice the price.

"It just works", not. I was prepared to love the nano. It certainly is typical Apple product design - elegant, beautiful and stylish -- and it would be perfect except for two very annoying software/firmware issues, and Apple's apparent lack of interest in addressing the first problem. If it were not for these two problems, I'd give the nano 4 1/2 stars. Maybe 5 stars.

Requires Mac Operating System Upgrade I purchased this to replace an older Nano. On connecting it to my Mac Mini I was informed that I had Mac OSX Ver 10.3.9 and would need to upgrade to OSX Version 10.4.8 so the new Nano would be recognized.
On Googling this it appears that Version 10.4.8 is no longer available and that I will have to upgrade to Leopard - which is currently not getting the best upgrade reviews.
If Apple requires a particular version of their operating system for the new Nanos to work then ...

I like it, but it has two major drawbacks for my needs If 'TV out' isn't important to you, or you don't care about playing podcasts back to back without fiddling with the ipod, then I'm sure you'll still love the new 3g nano. I like the video feature, the size (great for commuting), style, and colors of the new nano 3g, and iPods have the easiest/best way of selecting and sorting through music of any MP3 player out there. Why are iPods so addictive? Being an iPod enthusiast I felt compelled to purchase this new sleeker iPod nano even though I already own the 30GB, the 80GB (5.5 Generation) and the iPod nano (2nd Generation). Curse you Steve Jobs you got me addicted.
Anyway, what is especially useful about the 3rd generation nano is obviously the video capability. With only 8 gigs of flash drive space it doesn't exactly have a universe of memory in it but I'd imagine more than a handful of consumers will enjoy this feature. ...

Voice recorder? FM receiver? My kids have Nanos and another player each. The Nanos cost twice as much and now collect dust. They move music and video on and off the players from any computer in the house without Itunes, voice record classes for notes and listen to the radio. My First iPod I really struggled between 3 and 4 stars. If you don't mind being locked into iTunes, locked into Apple and having to pay $50 for a video cable, then I'd consider this a 5 star product. However, I do mind.

Good But Delicate Purchased this about 2 weeks ago, I love the color! I got the 8 GB Green version. It holds all of my music, and is small and very portable. The clickwheel is fine, but I do agree with others who say it does feel a little strange in your hands at time (since it is so square).
