Best value for the money. This was an impulse buy for me when I was on vacation - and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. Regarding the bloatware - I managed to delete everything using the Programs/Functions in the control panel and simply deleted the Online Services folder from the proper directory. I actually removed too much software and needed to re-install some of the HP programs that make the tablet buttons work (HP Quicklaunch Buttons and QuickPlay are all I needed). The touchscreen works well enou...

About two and half stars My first laptop was a Dell Inspiron w/ a 14in screen about 7 years ago. It's still running WindowsME and I've never had major problems with it.
So for my new laptop I wanted a touch screen that was small and light. I've had a lot of problems carrying around that dell even though it was supposed to be light; so the lighter the better. I also wanted a touchscreen feature just for fun. I plan on taking handwritten notes on this in class. I used to take notes w/ my Dell and always wish...

Great laptop, tons of features, OK tablet
A great laptop with some great features. Lots of RAM (2G), hard disk (250G), very light and compact. Despite everything I read it's pretty fast. Could do without some of the bloatware.
My only complaints is that it's not a very good tablet. It's not WACOM enabled -...

It's good, but... The computer is about what I expected it to be. Prior reviews indicate that comparatively short battery life and a less-than-perfect tablet/stylus are to be expected. I find them to both be true. The HP picks up the stylus marks with a good deal of error. The tablet is about as useful as the old Apple Newton.
The biggest problem is the support. First you call in and get routed to a call center in India where they cannot even understand the letters when you spell your name. Whe...

Not bad, but a number of bad design decisions Until I switched to Apple products I had been using HP computers for many years (I believe I had owned eight HPs up until I decided to switch to Macs). I needed a tablet, and since Apple does not make one, I went this this one. While it meets my basic tablet needs, there are a few, in my opinion, bad design/manufacturing decisions.
First, the stylus holder's spring mechanism has some sort of design or manufacturing flaw as mine broke the second day I had the unit. I had the unit rep...

EXCELLENT PURCHASE... At first, I wanted to buy this laptop directly in the HP webpage because I wanted to configure it, but several problems on that page made me look in Amazon for a similar product, and the tx1320us was the solution. The only negative point is the battery size...it stands out in the rear part of the notebook and makes it a little heavy, but still....the weight is perfect. Perfect buy and 100% recommended

HP tx1320US Very nice. Dot-style touch pad feels better against my fingertip than flat (old) style. Screen size is ideal for touch-tablet PC. 250 gb hard disk is wonderful. Sony memory stick and SD card slots are exactly what I needed for old and newer cameras.

Lightweight at 8.8 pounds? Most notebooks weight around 5-7lbs. 8-9lbs is on the heavier end of the scale. You will definitely feel this notebook on your shoulder(s) by the end of the day.

Tres bon!! I needed a laptop primarily for browsing the internet, as well as managing my iPod, iPhone and photos. I've always wanted a small laptop as I felt those 14 inch and above ones to be closer to desktops. I've always loved tiny gadgets.
This tablet by HP seems made just for me; 12.1 inch screen (which is not as tiny or difficult to read as one might think), 2GB RAM, 250GB hard drive (more than enough for me at this time), and about the size of an A4 sheet. Oh, and it's not too hard on ...

A great product with a convenient price The HP Pavilion is a small and practice notebook, I have it from almost two months and the Tablet PC option is very useful when you have to take notes in the classes, the price is very convenient for the features.
