Good TV Easy to set up. Works great (no burnt out pixels). Biggest complaint is that standard (non HD TV) looks AWFUL. Not the TV's fault, standard TV just lacks detail, and when it is blown up this big, you see the lack. Even TV shows on DVD look awful. Do NOT buy a TV this big unless you plan to watch HD quality TV or movies. But, if you rent a recently made movie, and use an upconverting DVD player, the detail is AMAZING.

waiting to be wowed Great TV. At this scale (52"), if you are not investing in HD, forget about it.
Only gripe is that it is heavier than you think, and it sits on the base slightly crooked.

Dead Pixels problem Bought the KDL-52W3000 in Nov 07 and was highly impressed with the picture quality and sound especially with blu ray.Within a month developed 3 horizontal lines of dead pixels across the screen out of the blue. Lugged it back to the store and got a replacement as it was still within 30 days. 3 months now after the replacement, the same thing (4 horizontal lines of dead pixels right through the center of the screen)has happened to the new TV.

Great TV..good price I had researched HDTV for months now, and am glad i picked this to a Sharp or Panasonic. I didnt see any banding, clouding etc which some people seem to notice. Do check out the avsforum for the calibrations as the default calibrations are not perfect. Other than that, sit 10 ft away. We thought 52'' may be too big for our room (20x15), but its not that overbearing. Infact am glad i didnt get the 46 now.
