Don't let the price fool you!!! Without getting all techie on you I will say that this RPTV is on par with the more expensive SXRD A3000. I know all about the A3000 and its color technology and 120Hz frame-rate but honestly I did my homework and this E3000 is on on equal footing despite lacking a few features and being of the 3LCD technology(which Sony really amped up here with 1080p and the Bravia tag). It's a great TV(the blacks & detail are amazing- thanks to the advanced Iris and Sony's Cinemotion), though I am partial to ...

You need to have HD cable, HD dvd player or hdtv's are not for you It is really important for those buying hdtv's to know that you will need HD cable or this tv will actually make your regular tv reception look worse. The same goes for dvds -- you will need to upgrade to the hd-dvd or blu ray to get the kind of quality that you should expect from an hdtv. I was playing my dvds on my old dvd player and thought -- why does this look worse. This set also does not have PIP and does take up to 30 seconds for it to start. Once it gets going, it's like any othe...

great value Picture quality was the biggest selling point for us. After shopping around at a few brick and mortar stores with both bright lighting and dim lighting, we decided we liked the picture on this TV the best in the up-to-$2000 range (and better than most plasmas, flat panel lcds, dlps, and sxrds they had, period). The biggest issue I have is the transition from light to dark scenes and vice-versa. Sound is so-so. Acceptable, but not extraordinary in any way. It has sufficient feature...

You cannot go wrong with this TV I bought this TV back in November, I almost bought the upper level SXRD model but in the end I decided to stick with the cheaper version. Oh and was I ever surprised. I of course haven't been able to compare the two TVs but I just gotta say my image is nothing short of stunning. Watching movies from an HD source, or just watching HD sports is mind blowing. I just got a Wii and hooked it up via component cables and I don't think I have ever seen Wii sports look that good. The real surprise...

Awesome HDTV for a great price !! This was way cheaper than corresponding flat-panel LCDs and plasmas from Sony. And unlike other projection TVs, this one has the Bravia Engine EX in it, plus it works with both 60fps and 24fps HD content. I bought it along with a PS3, and its worked out very well for games and blu-ray movies. This is one happy customer !!

Outstanding 50" LCD tv at incredible price! I have a Samsung TMX-3097WHF Hd-ready tv and I wanted to get a good 40" LCD tv for around $1000. I did not want Plasma, because it might have image burn-in. I read the reviews of LCD tvs at "Consumer Reports", and went to the various electronic stores that sell tv sets, when I saw this 50" tv on sale at Circuit City. I was amazed that anything that was so big, could cost so low. I looked at the reviews of the Sony tv at Amazon and they were all good. All 3 of them. Other reviewers at at sit...

Great TV This TV has a great picture, better than my Samsung 56" DLP.Stunning in cable high def, also very good pic quality on non hi def stations. Sound better than my Samsung. To previous reviewer who said the sound was so-so I don't expect it to be equal to an independent 5.1 system but it is still very good for a tv built-in. I know Sony makes great tv's but was not willing to pay double for one. Picked up this tv for $1177 with free shipping and no tax. Was hand delivered to my door and set...

Excellent value, buy now before it's too late I recently purchased this TV on Amazon for a great price (I saved $300 over other major retailers) and I couldn't be happier. Not only is this TV priced very well, especially compared to flat panel versions, it is a great quality TV. The picture is excellent at 1080p, maybe not as good as a $5000 flat panel set (very close), but certainly not $3000-$4000 worse. Yes you will sacrifice some quality when you are not utilizing HD inputs, but this is to be expected on all HD tv's. Some complaints hav...

Good product, Slow shipping The TV I bought is great! It was delivered without as much as a mark on the box. The guy who delivered it was very helpful with off loading and even unpacking. He helpded me move it into place and waited until i completed my inspection was complete.
The Picture is fantastic! The sounds is even better than I expected. I may not have to add a sound system.
Shipping was slow, took 2 extra days because of freight company scheduling. BUT. It was delivered in great shape! [Sony 50 in. LCD HDTV with 3LCD Technology, BRAVIA (KDF50E3000) review can be read at Amazon.com] | | Amazon.com Rating: 10.0 |

Who would buy a TV from Amazon?? Great tv. Picture quality excellent and much cheaper than LCD of same size. (As long as you dont want to hang a tv on the wall, why pay the extra. This one is quite thin anyway.) Enough inputs for me. My biggest concern was buying an item like this from Amazon. Sure, I use Amazon to buy books and other smaller items all the time, but a TV? Anyway a colleague had done so and had a good experience, so I thought I'd try. I was not disappointed. The shipping /delivery/setup went very smoothl...
