Finally after weeks of comprehensive evaluation, and several returns we found the best 50" 1080p. Great TV at a Great Price Tech Level: high
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Excellent Picture Quality, plenty of inputs. Supports true 1080p inputs. Supports up to HDMI 1.3 (which has two inputs of). Also has a VGA D-Sub connection for computers. I honestly found this to be a fabulous purchase for the price I paid, I would highly recommend to others.
Cons: Few setup features. Auto resolutes all inputs. Difficult to setup with a computer.

Mindblowing I bought this TV a month ago from 6AVE directly. I wont mention the price as people might just wait for that price and I doubt if its going to go lower. Anyways, the TV itself is just superb. Picture quality is mindblowing and I got the philips dvd player, dvp5982 and the picture is just amazing with that one on this TV. I cant comment about the speakers as I am using polk speakers for my audio. If anyone is looking for a 1080P, dont look any further...the value and the quality benefit is tough ...

You will love this TV Have had the 50PZ700U for one month now. Fantastic TV that delivers vibrant real life pictures when paired with HD programming. I watched Jay Leno's Tonight Show in HD and was blown away by the picture clarity and color reproduction. The built-in speakers deliver superb audio and I watch most shows without turning on my receiver.

Superb picture with HD sources, all round excellent TV. Got this 2 days ago, and had a chance to put it through it's paces with HD-DVD and Blu-ray (Sony BDP-S1) sources.
The picture, once set up correctly, is frankly amazing with both 1080P sources, and particularly impressive with the Blu-ray player.

Fantastic This is an absolutely gorgeous display.
It's hard to tell from the photos, but the black plastic bezel is actually glossy, not matte. Black gloss on electronics has high class swank written all over it. Yes, I said swank. And yes, it gave you goosebumps.
The built-in speakers are located on either side of the screen, not below it like they used to be on earlier models. They sound great if you choose to use them, and if not they're basically invisible and blend in natura...

Beautifully Designed Product I just received this TV and what can I say except that it is a beautifully designed product from the inside out. The picture is fantastic (especially HD), the built in speakers sound great, the remote is easy to use, the programming is very well layed out, and the menus are fairly easy to navigate without cracking the book.

Dim is the only word for it. I've spent weeks going into probably a dozen different stores looking at various 50" to 52" plasma and LCD TVs. Consumer Reports said this TV had the best picture they'd ever seen, so I made sure to check it out every chance I had. All I can say is, I was sure disappointed with CR on this one.

Great Quality and it arrived 3 days earlier than expected! The TV came in with no defects. It was delivered professionally and 3 days early. They called the night before to set-up a 4 hour time window for the delivery and it came within that 4 hour window. They also called 1 hour before they would be at the house in order to confirm that we would be there at the time of delivery. Buyer Beware! This TV looks good on paper, but watch out if you have a problem! Ours developed severe problems after a few hours- two large sections of the screen were broken. Of course, no company or product is always 100% perfect, but our attempt to get this repaired or replaced has been immensely frustrating. They're telling me it will be at least a month before we'll have the TV back fixed, and after nearly a half-dozen calls to customer support, they want us to go through a week-long process of bureau...
