It works all right, but it is no miracle cure! I had 1-2 bars of coverage on verizon outside my house, and 0 inside previously. I placed the extender in my attic, and now I can, indeed, make and receive calls from inside the house. The coverage is pretty weak (1 bar or less) and calls drop from time to time, but it is much better than no service at all. Verizon: Works great in Colorado! Yes, this item works well. But yes, it takes some RF and electronics knowledge to make it work right. For me, I have verizon cell phones operating in the 800MHZ cell band in my area. In my house we had zero to 1 bar and could make calls but they were frequently dropped or cut in and out. We could walk down the block and the signal was better. Our house sits in a depression and most of the cell signal was going over the top of our house.

T-Mobile users: BUY THIS if you don't have good signal indoors, but good outdoors I have bad signal with T-Mobile (and Cingular 1900) in the basement
then I gave a try
under a draft test (just put an upgraded panel antenna on the window in the bathroom)
lo and behold! I have signal now, I can make and receive call, and use internet (GPRS), and I can use 2 phones at a time (both use T-Mobile)
T-Mobile users: make sure you pick PCS (1900) version, this can help your indoor reception if you have decent signal outdoors (100%), but just have problem indoors

Just does not work Purchased the booster due to a weak signal inside the house. I positioned the outdoor antenna on the peak of the roof where I get a good cell phone signal. Temporarily ran the cable into the house. Followed all of the set-up instructions and the base unit never detected the verizon cell phone.
I called the technical hot line and they said they never had this problem before. Someone will call back in an hour. Two days later, the unit went back for a refund.

Item was used and not working This item had clearly been opened and handled before it was shipped to me. The seals on both ends of the wireless extender box (not the shipping carton, but the product box inside) were broken. The accessories inside were not packed like you would expect when getting something new. They were in a beaten up ziplock bag. It appeared to me that the contents of the box had been opened and handled a fair amount before they were shipped to me.

Yes, it works. My company switched service from Nextel to Verizon. I have been on Nextel for 9 years with very strong signal in my home and work area. I am a salesperson that works out of home frequently so it is critical that phone works well at the house.

It Works I saw a news segment on this product and they used it and said it worked so I ordered one and installed it in my house. I usually had to go outside to get one bar on my cell phone but with this unit installed I get 4 bars inside! I read the first review here and couldn't DISagree more. This thing works and it works good, it's very simple to install. I give it two thumbs up, it works so well my Brother is ordering one for his house.
