Fast and Boxy The printer is fast and easy to setup. It uses alot of desk space and looks like a elongated toaster. Print quality is very good but does have the same limitations as all inkjets. Cartridges last as look as the competition and costs about the same. Cartridge availablity is good.

HP printer I've had various brands of printers over the years. During that time I've had two HP printers and in retrospect these have been the best that I have owned. I got this particular printer for free with the purchase of a new Macbook. It is wonderful. I'm going to buy another to send with my daughter to college. Print quality is excellent. Its on our home LAN and is easy to access from Macs and PCs, wireless as well ( you need a wireless router). Con: cost of ink, but this is true of all ink...

Great Paper Handler I use this printer to number tickets which are printed on 67# vellum bristol stock. The HP 6940 prints and feeds flawlessly!!! I would not hesitate to recommend this printer to anyone wanting to feed heavier stocks.

Great printer Bought after my old Epson needed ink again. Like the HP brand, not disappointed. Connected to my wireless router and can print from my iMac or XP laptop. Small size and tray feed a plus. Need to print some photos to see how they look yet.

A SUPER GREAT PRINTER I wanted to get a basic printer for one of my computers that my Grandkids use for homework, to replace one I had given away. I also wanted it to be in-expensive and have at least a few features incase any homework required a little extra capability on the printer end. . I love this printer. It is a GREAT TigerDirect value. Once I plugged it into my home network, it was extremely easy to set up on my computers, a mix of Vista SP1 and XP SP3. It is quiet and fast. Thank you TigerDirect!!

. have the hp 6940dt. best, by far, printer I ever owned. Not an all-in-one, won't copy, scan, fax. But, I already have a flatbed scanner and fax machine for copy, scan, and fax, and don't need duplication of abilities. But will print double-sided documents. Single-side prints are super fast. All ink cartridges are very high capacity. For instance, Black ink approx. 800+-word document pages, 450+- with color. In a word, GREAT!

. I prefer bottom feeders over backside feeders, so I returned to HP after 18 months of grief from Epson. I use the 6940's network interface because my router sits next to my printer, rather than running a long USB cable to the PC, that's a nice feature for the price. First page out takes longer than I'd like and the power cable has a strange proprietary connector, but overall top notch.
