Best audio buy I've ever seen! Just got this 12" sub.
I have been buying new Hi-Fi components for 25 years. I have even spent $20,000+ over two years at one point buying audio equipment while stationed as a serviceman in Japan during the golden age of Hi-Fi in the mid 80s, the world's capital of audio electronics. as good as you can get for the range Cannot tell the difference from the more expensive DenonHarmon KardonPanasonicPolkor even Bose and for this price thats saying something.br I had a Bose system that was destroyed in the hurricanes a couple of years ago and replaced it with Sony components and my old Bose bookshelf and ceiling speakers and sounds the same to me. Great sub for the price I was in desperate need of a new sub woofer. I recently purchased a 56 Samsung DLP and a Harmon Kardon receiver. My old sub was just wore out and I wanted to hold out and get a good qaulity speaker no matter the cost. When I noticed the Sony I was sceptical of the low price you know you get what you pay for. After getting it hooked up however I was certain I made the right choice! This thing produces excellent sound and has more than enough power.

it's worth it pretty good base sound only dislike when turned up past mid way on my vol control certian movie effects make it sound like it cracks so trun the base down or the vol besides that i recomend it

Quality Product Use a quality coaxial cable and you will really be able to get the room vibrating with the lower frequencies! Excellent fine tuning available with the frequency and level selectors. I would definitely buy a bose sub if I had the money but two of thesesony subs is comparable.

DEEP value this is exactly what all the previous reviews said it was......a truly deep value for money. the bass is as deep as could be without noticeable distortion and it is clean looking enough to pass the wife's scrutiny. i am a music buff and i find the bass production to be just as good as the very, very good sony sf 6000 front speakers i use. however the big advantage with this unit is when watching movies.....5.1, 3.1 or 2.1, the bass is way deeper than you can get with the big front speakers. the ...

Excellent Subwoofer! I bought this sub woofer to replace my old sub woofer from my Sony HTD-DW790 Component Home Theater System. It is much better then the sub woofer that came with that system. Outstanding frequency response. Also note that on the back of the sub woofer there is volume control and frequency adjustments along with speaker connecters.

good bass at a good price These handle max output from my Onkyo TX-SR605 with no problem. Part of a set with SS-F5000s for mid surround SS-F7000s for front SA-W3000 sub and Sony SS series for rear surround and center which I already had. Good lows for a low price I bought the SA-W3000 to augment the bass for the DAV-HDX500i. It easily adds an octave to the bass range with plenty of power. I really had to back off on the volume control. Great value for good true bass!
