iPod now sounds great! This is far and away the best FM adapter out there. I previously used an AirTunes adapter that didn't have enough power to overcome the stations in the Philadelphia area - I could always hear some high-pitched hissing from a station on an adjacent channel. The PodFreq completely covers them up. The sound quality is much better, and you don't have to worry about the volume control setting since it picks up the audio from the "line out" interface on the bottom of the iPod. It also comes with a...

The essential iPod Mini Accessory Both my cars are Mitsus and neither of them have tape players or aux inputs. No after market aux inputs are available either, so the only way to get my iPod to play in the car was with an FM transmitter. I used the iTrip for about a year, but unfortunately that thing is a piece of junk. Reception was terrible and no matter what I did there was a constant hissing in the background.
I purchased the podfreq about a week ago and the reception is outstanding! The music has come alive and...

Not real happy with it I bought this unit to replace a Griffin iTrip transmitter that I had broken. After reading the reviews here and elsewhere I figured this was a no-brainer, plus I liked the idea of being able to tune it with a simple up-down LCD display instead of having to go into the menu of the iPod as required by the iTrip.
First of all, the inability to tune in 87.9 is a problem, as that seems to be the most common unused frequency available. I'm constantly having to search for a frequency tha...

Pretty descent Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg.com
Pros: Does what it claims, includes car charger (Firewire telephone style cord), mini USB-USB2 cord, and you can chose ANY radio frequency not just a choice of 3 or 4 like others. Interfaces very well with the included cords on my computer. Seems to transmit Ok, you do get the same distortion as with listening to a radio station but 90% of the time it comes i...

Pump your MP3 from bluetooth phone to FM radio Get Anycom FIPO and you can stream your MP3s from any bluetooth enabled device to your car stereo. FIPO plugs into Podfreq iPod interface and makes it into a bluetooth gadget.
I have now noticed the following problem however, there a high frequency din being produced along with the music. I tried several stations with the same results. It is especially noticeable when the music volume is reduced.
Ok, I now know what the problem is, the firewire power input cord se...

Ipod Transmitter I tried numerous iPod transmitters and concluded that none of them work consistently. Tired of spending money and being frustrated, I was ready to resign myself to having an iPodless car. I came across some positive reviews of the Podfreq and decided to give it one last try. Although it was pricier than some of the others, in my opinion it is by far the best. Once I found a free channel where the reception is clear, I've never had to change it. Occasionally I get a little static, but the re...

Great accessory! Bought this for my daughter to use in her cheap little car that only came with a radio. She loves it. It works very well and charges the ipod at the same time.

Walkie talkie? Super convenient for those of us that don't have the adapters installed already in our cars, but the size of the unit is a little cumbersome, especially when the antenna is in full extension, sort of like a walkie talkie in its shape and use. Overall, it's a great concept and the reception is pretty good. Tends to become a little problematic around metropolitan areas because there are limited channels to choose from. I looked at some of the other reviews and finally settled on this product. ...

A sound product ! ! A good product. Simple to use, nice design, and good sound. Works well with a car stereo and a home stereo. Large telescoping antenna makes the iPod seem like a walkie-talkie, but it provides for a strong signal to the FM receiver. A power adaptor for the car is included and is very handy. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an iPod FM transmitter.

Great transmitter I got this a couple of months ago to replace a Kensington transmitter that fell apart (see my other reviews). I like the design of the PodFreq much better. Like the Kensington, it has a direct feed from the iPod to the transmitter and doesn't use the headphone jacks, which is a big plus. The signal is very strong. I like the fact that the unit is also a hard case for the iPod and the cloth sack is a nice little plus.
The main advantages over the Kensington in my opinion are: 1) You...
