Works Great Purchased this item several months ago. It works great printing labels for envelopes, files etc. There is no ink, it uses thermal imaging instead. It only prints in black and white, but does the job cleanly and the density of the black is comparable to regular laser printers. It uses fonts and typefaces in your word processing program, so there are a lot of fonts/typeface choices. You can copy jpg images and paste them on your label, with the ability to shrink or resize them. Simple graph...

SLP-450, a Great Buy Unit works great and for the price you cant beat it. We currently using it for labeling cat5 cables.

Printer great....software needs improvement Printer performs well and should be on every desk. I think I can finally throw out my old IBM Selectric, as all I was using it for was typing mail labels. Printer is fast and labels are clear and crisp. The software needs work. Once a label has been created, the entire label goes blank and you have to double click in the label area to make it visible.

Nice label printer for OSX - fast OSX review only. Would buy/recommend again. USB, and OSX network printer sharing. Just works. Can use the slick included s/w - or set up as OSX printer.

Smart Label Printer 450 This label printer is so easy to install and use. It is very versitile for many uses. Changing the kind of labels and then printing is quick and easy. Small enough that the footprint on my office desk is not overwhelming. Perfect size for accessability. The printing quality is clear and very good. The storage for multiple use of a particular label is a great plus.
This is truly a product that you take out of the box, quickly install the software (included)plug in the printer and start...
