Pros: Non that I can think of...... I guess it's nice they give you a few extra USB ports.
Cons: Does not pass video on a DV4000 laptop. The other base (ES234AA#ABA) has a dorky mounting system and comes with wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, etc. and still won't pass video to a remote monitor.

WASTE Tech Level: somewhat high

Pros: The device does a lot of things.
Cons: It passes video on my dv6500t, but does so poorly, screen has the shakes bad. Basically, a really expensive usb hub. Buy a nice usb hub, and plug monitor in directly. like the other person said, what a waste

Pros: Additional ports.
Cons: Does not pass video on DV5000 and contrary to every other docking station I have used, you have to leave the notebook open to keep it powered up. Since I have passed the return deadline, I am giving this away. What a waste.

Dig it Great product, I use my laptop as my primary computer and I can easily use this to save the mess of cables. When I am ready to use my laptop I can easily just disconnect it from the base.

Easy to use I thought I might not like as much as a true docking station which I am used to, but it gets the job done. I hid it under a file folder rack on my desk, so it's very compact. It is also incredibly light (almost feels cheap) if you have to take it somewhere with you. Price was great at $84 with free shipping at Buy.com although looks like it is more now.

Can't go wrong It was frustrating having to connect/disconnect monitor, keyboard, mouse, power, network, printer, scanner, game controller, speakers and microphone several times a week. Now there is just one cable to deal with to do all of that. I had the dock out of the box and working in less than 5 minutes. There's no drivers or software to install - just plug it in and it's ready to go. I ordered an additional power cord to be dedicated to the dock so that I can leave my original cord in my travel ba...
