Keeps on Chugging A customer of mine needed to support dial-in clients for a merchandising application, but didn't want to spend the money on a modem bank. Instead, they're using four of the Hayes external modems connected to a multi-port serial card. Surprisingly, it's 18 months later and they're still working 7/24. I really didn't expect they'd last that long under such harsh operating conditions. They're little tanks!
