Love it! I love my shuffle! I like how you don't have to listen to the songs shuffled if you don't want and I love the clip feature. 250 songs is just right for me. -Square
-Aluminum
-Clip instead of lanyard
-Docked USB instead of strait plug
-Slightly lighter
-Available in new colors
GOOD:
-Very compact
-Great looking design and button layout
-Excellent sound quality
-Much more durable (and less flimsy, I always felt like I'd break my old shuffle in half if I sat on it)
-No external cap to loose

Apple 1GB Shuffle - A steep price for a starter MP3 Player

Only works if YOU are good enough for Apple I am deployed to Afghanistan so as it is you have to have anything electronic you want mailed to family in the US and mailed to you, no one seems to be willing to send any electronics to an APO, so I guess the thought of major companies is that if we did not bring it we should not have it. Very expense....wake up apple I have owned both shuffle and Creative Zen Stone plus. Below is a comparison.
0. Both retail for 70$ and both are really very cute.
1. Shuffle is apple while creative is not. So all the apple fans would buy it anyway.
2. Shuffle has no screen, zen stone plus has got a screen albeit a small one.
3. shuffle has 1gb memory while zen stone plus has 2gb.
4. No FM tuner for the shuffle.
5. No stop watch for the shuffle.

Good system ruined by iTunes The iPod Shuffle is great, don't get me wrong. I owned the original version (the gum pack size unit) along with this one, but the overall idea is ruined by a couple of factors:
* It's iTunes or nothing. Fat chance you can load anything on this puppy without iTunes doing the work. Got music at work on your Microsoft Media Player? Too stinkin' bad.
* If you get rid of the iPod (like I did, only because of iTunes) and opt to uninstall iTunes, you'll soon find out the iTunes is h...

What's all of the fuss about? I received this as a gift last Christmas. It does not list the names of the tracks or the artist being played. It is way too small and therefore an inconvenience. I stuck it in a drawer somewhere last January and there it has been ever since. It is not even worth my time or effort to see if it works.

sucks I got the ipod...it look cute and I was excited. but it didn't come with anything to put the music on it. well, I must have used the wrong program and it wouldn't work, tried to fix it... had download some program to restore it back but it didn't work I was so mad that I sent it back the next day.

Music on Demand I received 2 IPods for Christmas; the nano and the shuffle. I prefer the shuffle because of how small and convenient it is. It holds 250 songs and I normally play on random at the office. I drape the ear cord around my neck and hook it to the ipod if I am wearing non-lapel type business clothes. It is very non-intrusive, easy to use and change songs. The only thing that could be better would be blue tooth or wireless earphones so there would be no cord at all. I love it. Thanks IPOD
