Pros: The laptop's pretty lightweight, very sturdy structure, widescreen, excellent internal wireless that's located on the top of the monitor so I never miss a signal anywhere. Love the quiet keyboard too, nice to press.
Cons: Slow processor, wish battery lasted a tad bit more. Vista was painfully slow so I had to reformat it with XP...

Acer Laptop (needs more memory) Very light laptop - nice to carry around. However, it runs way too slow under Vista with 512MB RAM. It runs very well using Windows XP but if you keep VISTA on it, you will NEED to put in at least another 512 MB RAM

Pros: For the price, you can't beat a laptop with these specifications. The wireless works very well and I'm pleased with the overall quality of the product.
Cons: With vista it is very slow, but after adding another gig it ran very well. The battery could stand lasting a bit longer though.

I have so many gripes with this, but at a Sub-600 price tag, you can't complain Basically, this is bare bones. The summary of what you'd be getting is a single core processor, half of the notebook standard memory, a decent hard drive, and a tack on DVD drive.
There are no advanced features of this laptop, this is a laptop designed for mobile travel, and really doesn't even do that extremely well.
PROS:
Price - At $600 you can't be to picky at the laptop you want.
Screen - Decent, but still, not up to par with more expensive laptops.

Cons: when i first got this and booted it up i kept on getting an error message that windows had an error and had to reastart to i called up a few friends and they looked at so we figured out that when acer preinstalled windows vista they corrupted it real bright acer

Great Deal!!! I got this notebook for school use. It was a very wise choice. It's perfect for typing up reports, homework, watching movies, or downloading. I havn't put any games on it yet because I'm just too busy with work and school, but I'm sure it can handle it. I've had this notebook for almost four months now and havn't had any problems at all.

Pros: Very well put together laptop. I love how light it is and it just feels good using it.
Cons: VISTA! In my opinion it is not close to being ready and as other reviewers have stated it hogs the memory bad, my laptop goes up to 90% mem usage at the desktop.
