Pros: This switch performs well. It has five total ports, so using one for an uplink would leave 4 for computers. I have my network with 3 x 1000 and 1 x 100, and it switches seamlessly between them. The case is a work of beauty and has some really cool lights.

Pros: As you'd expect for a switch from a company like 3com this thing works great. It's one of those devices you can just plug in and forget about. Great throughput, solid construction, simple no fuss design.
Cons: The lights on this device may be bright for some people but this is not an issue for me as its mounted vertically out of sight...

Pros: Overall this is a great switch. Its fast and it looks really nice on my desk. Another nice thing is the indicator lights flash at a steady rate so its not destracting instead of just going crazy like most devices do.
Cons: little warm. not overheating but you cant really set anything on top of it.

Pros: Works good, works fast. I am using mine with a $50 3COM router...3COM's cheapest gigabit router is over $700...I'm getting the same functionality with this $90 combo (plus I have a few extra 10/100 ports)

Looks very nice, and performs even better! Plug and play at it's root.
I just unplugged my old switch and plugged this in. Within seconds all the devices connected and those that were 1Gbit were detected as such.
Transfer speeds went up from around 6-8 Megabytes / sec to around 30-35 Megabytes / sec. So quite a substantial jump in speed!
One thing to note is that the blue lights on the device are quite bright and I had to put some tape on top of them because at night, my bedroom looked like a disco with...

It does what it does... This is a great switch currently it connects my server,HTPC and my wireless bridge which are located in my garage. It does a great job in handling everything. Haven't had it restart or turn in off yet..Running strong..
