Easy to setup and use I bought this to use for an extra hard drive I used on my old laptop. It works great for what I need - a backup drive. USB 2.0 is fast.
Two warnings
1. You need to use the cable that comes with it (or one of similar specs), or the drive won't work properly. I tried using a USB 2.0 cable I bought for syncing my cell phone and it didn't work with this case) Also, you need enough power on your USB ports (your computer will warn you if this is being overloaded).

Pros: Very simple and easy installation! Open it up, insert drive, close it up, plug it in. I, too, used it to upgrade the HDD in my laptop and now use it as a backup device with the old HDD. It works so much better than my older USB 1.0 external enclosure. So, I'm back here to order another one to replace it.

Pros: Very easy to install the drive. The enclosure holds the drive VERY securely. Lightweight and TINY (always a bonus) Unlike other enclosures I've used, after several hours of constant use, the case still feels close to ambient temperature.
Cons: Less technically minded purchasers would likely need a detailed instruction set.

Pros: Extremely reliable, easy to setup, is powered by USB, so no separate power cable/unit to lug around! Of course, no drivers required on XP, 2003, etc. It just works.
Cons: None yet.
