It Works... This a fairly decent product that works and delivers on it's claims...but that's it.
If you want a very basic unit that's not at all user-friendly with only the minimum features and functions...this is it.

You need this. If you make home movies and share them with family and friends, this unit saves a world of time. With this unit and my other computer equipment I can now burn 4 DVD's at once. Did I mention it has lightscribe and dual layer features. Bundled software is somewhat lame, but I use Nero 7 and it works great.

Built like a tank with options galore This unit is built like a tank, has a multitude of functions and options for how you burn your CDs or DVDs, can be used as a stand alone burner or used in conjunction with a PC with the bundled software (Roxio 9XE) doubles its burning capacity, can Lightscribe those special discs, not to mention Aleratec's customer support (which I used) was very courteous and quick to answer my questions.
