five stars....so far I bought this card for my Sansa MP3 player and it works just fine. I estimate the average read/write speed to be 50X-60X - more than good for the player (read) and transfers to the card (write) are fast enough to be painless.
The size is a mixed blessing - The good, this card is TINY! and weighs nothing! The bad - It seems fragile (the manual warns to not squeeze it in the center, only handle it by the edges), I wonder how many insertion/removal cycles it can take.

Read first if you are considering this item. This product is not compatible with several cell phones. I have the LG 8300 that I just purchased and after I put the card in the phone it stopped working. I called Kingston tech support and I just can't believe how they handled this situation. They are fully aware of the problem and have been aware since September. The card they have the trouble with is the 1GB (probably one of the most common purchased). The best thing was they are totally aware of the situation and they said there is not...

Not Good! I bought this for my son's LG CU500 cell phone. The Kingston website has the Kingston 1 GB MicroSD memory card listed as compatable with my son's phone. It is NOT. I am out the money for this card and have had to go out and spend more money buying a different brand card. This card is a total waste and the Kingston website cannot be trusted to let a consumer know what products THEIR products can be used with.

MicroSD is great! I bought this SD Card for my new BlackBerry Pearl phone. I figured since I'd be putting music and photos I take this would be a great backup for transferring data back and forth. The MicroSD card is great, quite small but great. Don't use it around and area you can definately lose it. I'd strongly recommend keeping it near the device you are putting it into or in the plastic case. Overall it was a great deal and it will keep my data until the next GB version comes along. Cheers for Kingston for ...

works perfectly in my cell phone (Samsung A707) This card works perfectly in my Samsung A707 cell phone, aka the Cingular Sync.
It's worked perfectly in three of these phones.
The previous card, a Sandisk 1GB, did not work properly. Every time you powered on the phone you had to re-seat the Scandisk card for it to be recognized properly. Others reported having this problem in a number of forums, although Sandisk wasn't explicitly mentioned, I think.

Doesn't work in LG phone This card does not work in the LG CU500 phone. I replaced it with a SanDisK 1GB, which works fine. The Kingston card is not defective. I put in an Iogear card reader and use it for a USB flash drive, but it is not up to whatever spec the LG phone requires.

Works for my LG CU500 !!! Tech Level: average Ownership: less than 1 day This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Very small, very awesome product! At first it would not work in my LG CU500. I started searching, and someone on a forum I read said to do this, so I tried pushing 277634#*# to bring up the 'secret menu' on my CU500 and selected '4-Port Testing' then went to '5-Mass Storage Remove'. This did not help me any, though someone el...

Doesn't work with CU500 phone I ordered 2 of the 1GB Kingston microSD cards when I ordered my Cingular CU500 phones from Amazon, but they don't work in that phone. Buyer beware, there's are reason why the price is so low. They may work fine in other devices but not the CU500. I bough 2 1GB SanDisk microSD from a brick and mortar, so I could return them without shipping/restocking if they didn't work either, for 24.99 each and they work fine.
