Stunning 20 in Picture for the Price Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg.com
Pros: Great monitor for the price, Very crisp picture using DVI connection. Games look fantastic -- I've never seen such detail. Movies look great. Base swivels, height adjusts (be sure to remove retaining pin -- it is only for shipping), as well as screen tilting forward and back though more forward than back. OSD and Magictune software provide many, many ...

Great Monitor, Bad Stand, Great Customer Service Tech Level: high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Great monitor. Clear, relatively cheap for it's size, good colors and decent contrast. Perfect for mid range systems.
Cons: As stated in these reviews, monitor stand was basically defective out of the box. I got about 4 months out of it before the weight of the monitor started to irreversibly tilt the screen downwards. As soon as I did some research on the problem I called Samsung and got...

204BW Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: Many people are wondering the difference between the 204BW and the 205BW, I called Samsung Monitor Tech and the biggest difference is the bezel on the 204BW is 13% thinner(1/16th inch) than the 205BW. They both are 16.7 million and the pixel pitch is .258 not .285 they are 75mm Vesa compliant and not 100mm Vesa compliant. Other than the bezel they are the same. 1680x1050 is ideal for todays games it allo...

poor image quality This monitor is great value of you don't really care about the accuracy of color. It's quite bright and has great contrast though it has an occasional faint swarming grain that does not go away with auto-adjust. You may or may not notice the grain. I tried for over an hour to get the colors calibrated and eventually gave up. It has a few pre-defined color profiles and they are all useless and wildy inaccurate. Colors are bright and over-saturated because they are clipped so it's pretty, just not...

Not an owner, but.. Tech Level: high Ownership: less than 1 day
Pros: The the person saying they got a dead pixel monitor: This is a Samsung. Samsung > Every other monitor manufacturer for one reason. They have a perfect pixel gaurantee. Contact Samsung, and you will be allowed to RMA the monitor and get one with no stuck/dead pixels. I've done this before, and I will not buy any monitor other than a Samsung now.

Good LCD monitor for the price. This LCD monitor is an excellent buy. Good contrast with height adjustment. No dead pixels. But if you are using it mainly for text, EIZO will be a better choice. I put the two monitors side by side and I could tell the difference. There is a power button next to where you attach the power cord to the LCD monitor. Remember to turn THAT power button on or you may find yourself looking at a dead monitor. I have 3 LCD monitors on my desk and this Samsung monitor presents the best value. I am very h...

Great LCD! This is the first LCD monitor I have owned. The widescreen format is great, you can have more windows open. I upgraded from a 19" CRT and the color and brightness are much better. Also, it is alot clearer. I didn't buy from Amazon, but paid about the same. My only complaint is one dead pixel just off the middle of the screen. It isn't noticable most of the time; I usually only see it when the screen image is dark. Otherwise, I could not be happier!
