A quality piece of equipment

It's pretty difficult to make a wireless network router simple to configure and operate for a non- (or anti-) technical person. As long as you go into a purchase of a router with this in mind, you'll probably be okay.

Personally my technical knowledge of network and computer operations is pretty high, so my experience with this product may be different than most. I have to say that I love this router. In the world of routers, this isn't a "top of the line" product (see the D-Link D...

very good router

Tech Level: high
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Never had any problems it works great. This product advertises 4x range 12x speed, please realize will will not get that bonus unless you use a wireless-N card. plus it's more like 2x range and 8x speed but still it's worth it if using an N card. Now another plus is i notice about a 25 percent range boost even in wireless G compared to my old linksys router wrt54gs v2.0. This router is fast and very resp...

Excellent Wireless N router!!! Easy to install and connect to.

I've used a Linksys and Netgear Wireless routers and the D-Link DIR-625 has been by far the best to install and connect to. I've connected all of my devices (Xbox 360, HP 2700 printer, and my work laptop) wireless without a hitch. I'm using Time Warner Roadrunner cable service. The Network Magic software was easy to use. I get full connection bars with my xbox 360 and my family room downstairs used to be a dead spot but with the DLink wireless router I get an EXCELLENT connection!

Incredible range and strength

I've had this product for about a month. I did a lot of research, reading up on the technology and the reviews before I bought this router, and it won by default, because I wanted the new, longer-range 802.11n (draft) technology and all the reviews on existing products with "n (draft)" were just terrible, but this product was too new to have any reviews!

OK, not great reasoning on my part, but the other piece of my thinking was that maybe the latest to market had more time to correct...

Stable, fast, stable...did I mention stable?

Tech Level: average
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Stable stable stable. Fast speeds.

Cons: Nothing that really comes to mind.

Other Thoughts: This router replaced a Linksys box that literally was thrown from my window in frustration. While the Linksys has stable wired connections, any wireless connection would intermittently drop throughout the house, regardless of how close or far it was. My wife was scream...

Excellent router, great range, interface, packed with power features

I just replaced my semi-dysfunctional WRT54G Linksys router (2nd in a row) with this router, and I couldn't be happier. I've had several problems with the Linksys, and this router solved them all.

The web interface is easy to use, packed with features (such as auto-populating MAC address for assigning to a static IP on a LAN, support for DMZ, port forwarding, etc). The range is great - I previously needed extra antennae for Linksys to reach my living room, but this router reaches ...

Not ready for N technology

I was unable to install this product. I ultimately tried 3 separate computers and 2 different modems. After trying everything he could think of the D-Link support technician said to return the router as defective. Even with D-Link tech support and ISP tech support the replacement router could not be installed and again I was advised to return it as defective.
A computer savy friend advised me to order a "G" router rather than a "N". The G router installed without difficulty and is wor...

Poor Choice -

Absolutely the worst VPN support setup I've ever seen. Wired or Wireless - you'll have a degree in router config geek-speak by the time you're up and running - - - not to mention the work-around is nearly a DMZ setup - uber der stupid! I work in IT supporting distributed applications for a large enterprise where I frequently assist our users with their remote access configurations - we use Nortel VPN (contivity) client software. Until now, never had a problem with routers for the most part...

Save your money. Dont buy

I got this and the RangeBooster is a lie. It has NOT boosted any kind of range on my network. It also goes in and out of service often. I wasted my money on this one.
