Pros: The new SIRF III chip really makes a huge difference. When connected it has instant aquisition, no warm up period or cold starts to worry about. It really does have better signal than others I have tried and more accurate too.

for the price you can;t go wrong It took about 5 minuets to set this up to run with MS street and trip ( i am using 2006). it was so easy i thought there is something wrong. it has more features than i Knew, like Altitude( beside Latitude and longitude) gives you the speed that you are traveling( it matched the digital speedometer)also its very small. the only thing that i wish it had is to reconfigure the route if you miss an exit, it just says "off route" beside that its flawless.

Fragile Connection Tech Level: somewhat high

Pros: Compact and low cost
Cons: Flimsy plastic USB connector (x12-42936) wiggles too much and stressed the connections. The device cuts out at the slightest movement and makes it quite annoying to use. I will have to re-solder the connections inside the connector to correct it or shell out for the bluetooth adapter.
Other Thoughts: Go with the Bluetooth versio...

Pros: Locks on to satellites fast (<1 min), provides good accuracy. I always show as being directly on streets in Microsoft Streets and Trips. Works great.
Cons: Bluetooth would be nice.
Other Thoughts: Used in both Microsoft Streets and Trips and Roadnav... worked like a charm.

good product, though with some frustration at first I bought it from Amazon. When using in Microsoft's Streets & Trips 2007, it took a very very long time to find satellite signal (I am in Chicago) outdoors. I was almost ready to return it to the manufacturer.
Then I brought it with me to Los Angeles where it turned out to work excellent! Quick and accurate! I was quite satisfied.
Given its price, I gave a high rating.

GPS receiver works great My first GPS receiver developed problems after about 5 years of constant use. I replaced it with this newer receiver and it works great. I like the fact that I can use the cable included or plug straight into the USB port on my laptop if desired. Connection is simple and the units small size makes it easy to use.

Pros: The device does exactly what you can expect it to do. I have it working with MS Streets and Maps 2007, And its perfect.
Cons: The cord that came with it was a little short, so you may need to buy an extension if you plan to permantly place it somewhere on your car, instead of just throwing it up on the dashboard.
