Additionally, the VX2100 includes a built-in lens cap to protect the enhanced optics package, manual audio control and PCM Digital Stereo Audio in 12 and 16-bit modes, a manual focus and manual zoom ring, built-in color bar generator, 16:9 wide screen recording capability, intelligent accessory shoe, both 12x optical and 48x digital zoom, advanced optical SteadyShot picture stabilization and up to seven hours of operation with the optional NP-F960 InfoLithium battery.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! This package contains exactly everything you'll need to start filming whatever you need. It came promptly within 2 days that I ordered it. As for the camera itself- AMAZING. Everything I wanted and more.

| | | It's great but... This is a great all around camera for all conditions, specially low light. BUT. The sound recording absolutely sucks. The microphone picks up any slight toch you make to the body of the camera. When you push the record button on and off, the microphone records it as a loud click. If you tild the view finder, the microphone records it as loud as opening a rusty door. Also, in loud conditions, like concerts, the microphone completely distorts the sound like a blown speaker. | | | Sony DCR-VX2100 Not as good as I thought it should, difficult to work with, not enough audio input options, picture is not crisp and clear as other similar camcorders.
I wish I did not buy it.
I have Panasonic AG-DVX100B that is much better.
I thought sony is better but this specific camera is not.
