must have!!! Great camera. Upgraded from a 300d and the pictures are amazing on this camera, my only complaint is the print button, no need for it. I couldn't find the aperature button to change the f-stop. Its the line next to the on/off switch. Other than that, its perfect!

GREAT Camera I upgraded to a 30D quite a while back from a Rebel XT. Really, the 40D isnt worth the extra money from this in my opinion. Awesome camera, durable, easy to use, and fast. Doenst get much better.

Very Happy My first DSLR, very happy!
Read the manual before trying it, and try to have a basic understanding of photography before going for the purchase. I upgraded from canon point and shoot S3IS and found the transition fairly easy

Kick Butt and reliable!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought this camera body in Dec. 2006. I photograph models on a regular basis. Within a little over a year I have shot over 200,000 images with this camera which exceeds the 100,000 shutter rating. Camera more than exceeds my expectations.

hear me coming Recently on a trip to Alaska to photo the Brown Bears in KatMai National Park, The camera got very heavy after walking quite a distance.
As we sat (8 people) photoing the Bears, My Canon 30D was without question the loudest in the group. I got some stares from others but no comments.
My XTI is quite and does just as good

Excellent Camera I upgraded from the Canon 300 which I believe was canons first shot at a DSLR for less than [$].I used that camera for 4 years and it took great pictures.After retiring I decieded to get more involved in photography and beings I already had a couple lenses for the Canon I decieded to go with the 30D.That was the best choice I could have made!It is much easier to use, the pictures are so much better and my time on touching up the pictures I take in photshop has been cut in half.Excellent camera a...

GREAT CAMERA!!! I use this camera for business and as a hobby. I purchased it last april and have taken over 10,000 images. Other than cleaning the sensor about 10 times I never had an issue with this camera. I have a 10d as a back-up which gets little usage. I guess Canon will replace it in the fall and I will use that opportunity to buy another one at a good discount.

Wow, what a camera... My first step into the digital image world. I had 3 EOS1V's and 1 EOS3 and a LARGE amount of lenses. Unfortunately so lowly thief decided he needed them more than I did. So I am basically starting all over. I stepped into the 30D upon the recommendations of 3 professional photographers and all three are 100% right. Great feel, superb action and unlimited creativity are right at the tip of your index finger.
