Fantastic television I have had the Bravia since the Fall of 2006. I have never seen a better picture, even on a plasma. They had all of the flat panels lined up side by side and the screen turned at a 45 degree angle. Poor Sony Customer Service
I purchased this TV in Sept'06. The TV worked great. Unfortunately, there was a clicking noise from the TV. So, I called Sony and they asked to me to contact "Advanced Electronics" (in San Diego), one of their authorized service centers. The "Advanced Electronics" probably has the most incompetent technicians in the planet. Added to their incompetence is their extremely rude customer service. They had my TV for over 6 weeks, and when they finally returned the TV, the problem still persist...

Excellent This television is great. The picture is brilliant and the color is
vibrant. It fits perfectly in the space we have for a television.
It is thin and light. Ordering the product through Amazon saved us
several hundred dollars as compared to the lowest cost retailer on sale.

Great TV. Sony will fix problems the blank screen problem (if you have one) Several people have mentioned a problem with getting a blank screen when switching from standard definition to high definition, and having to turn the TV off and on again to regain a picture. Sony Bravia LCD TV The Sony Bravia KDL40S2000 40" LCD TV delivers a clear,near real image. The set-up was quick and the instructions were easy to read and understand. All cable and set-up accessories were simple to install and operate. Sony has certainly solidified their product image with this electronic HDTV.

Better than expected This Sony Bravia fits perfectly in the space where we had a 41" projection TV for more than 15 years. The HD is "clearer than clear" . . . absolutely amazing picture. Best TV we've ever had.

Too many Digital Artifacts Visible This Sony KDL40S2000 40" Bravia Flat Panel LCD HDTV is a bit disappointing. This unit brigs out a lot of imperfections in DVDs. Unless you get a pure digital signal, this HDTV seems to enhance imperfections in your video source. It's a good unit but I do not like how it enhances digital artifacts from many DVDs that I watched on it last weekend. Standard cable other than HD looks unacceptable. Perhaps the store was getting a weak signal.

THE best HDTV for the money, period! Like many others, I did all of the research and parked myself in the TV showrooms of Best Buy, Circuit City, Sound Advice, etc. and I can tell you without a doubt, that this 40" Sony Bravia had the best picture and sound quality of them all. Even beat out the 37" Sharp Acquos!

Can't beat the flat screen LCD Unless that nanotube screen comes out. Only problem with the picture is the Starz channel (digital cable) has a ghost effect during the dark scenes. Haven't tested it with a DVD yet but I imagine it would go away. Very pleased with the way the HD looks and would like to get a surround system hooked up to really see this puppy's brilliance.
