Thoughts from perspective of professional software developer I've used Dell business-class (Lattitude) notebooks since the 90's, and bought one of these for my wife as a replacement for her iMac. mostly awesome I love my MacBook. The screen is beautiful. When used with power-saving mode, the battery can last 3+ four hours!
Really, nearly everything about this laptop is great. I would recommend this computer to ANYONE (from programmers like myself to someone with little computer experience).

This Should Be Three and A Half Stars (Updated) First, don't hate me because I am a dyed-in-the-wool PC user. I've been using Microsoft and Windows for over 10 years.

Happy I have been very happy so far with my new computer. I've never had a Mac before and am enjoying it very much. You can't burn DVD's on this one, which is something to be aware of if that's something you want to do, but I was happy to save the money it would have cost to get the higher level version.
I was very happy with the price after rebate offered by Amazon. It was the best deal I could find.

Good but need to adjust Mac OX My old IBM X31 was dead, so I bought this new Mac. The design is fancy and it's fun for entertaining, but for work, I need to install additional software for Mac OX. Given the price, I think it's a good deal.

LOVE MY MACBOOK!!!! My Macbook is the best investment I have ever made computer wise. I have had it for about 4 months now and I read all of the reviews before I bought it. I read it gets too hot; it hurts my hands/wrists; it gets dirty where my hands rest, etc. I have not experienced any of those problems. Since I purchased mine, Apple has since released a slightly faster model. Mine is really fast and I use wireless high speed internet in our home and couldn't be happier.

Macbook 1.83 I am thrilled with this computer. It's my first laptop and what a kick! I've had two Mac desktop computers and have always been a big fan of Apple computers. The beauty and simplicity of design of may laptop is great. The feel of the keyboard is excellent. What can I say about OS 10.4? If you know this system, then you know that there is noting better! Well, except for the upcoming 10.5, perhaps Buy a Macbook and you won't be sorry!
