Linux review: working perfectly Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Using RT2500 driver for linux, I had this going in minutes (gentoo linux). Speed and reliability have been high.
Cons: None that I have found, but I have not tested it for range (but I have seen nothing to suggest any big problem)
Other Thoughts: Seem to run a lot cooler than my old linksys ca...

Cons: I couldn't get it to work using wireless zero config. Speeds in linux are very slow.
Other Thoughts: Perhaps using the ndiswrapper for Xubuntu linux will s...

Card failed to operate Tech Level: average Ownership: 1 day to 1 week This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: NewEgg customer service excellent when refund was required.
Cons: According to Asus staff, card was likely faulty because they claimed their drivers were fine. Card failed to work in WinXPpro and in Win98se. And that was on two different computers (Toshiba Satellite Laptop and Sony Vaio desktop). Neither drivers on supplied CD nor th...

Also works with Ubuntu 6.06 Tech Level: somewhat high Ownership: 1 month to 1 year This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Worked OOTB on 6.06 (and 6.10 as stated by the other review). It also worked on my Debian Sarge install, although I did have to load the driver (ra2500) manually. This card works great with Kismet as well.
Cons: No external antenna jack (not that the internal antenna is weak...it works great)

Cons: None for this speci...

Other Thoughts: Couldn't tell you about the included Windows d...
