Comments: SMC is by far still the king of routers. I grabbed this to replace a Linksys that was... unreliable at best. I was kind of concerned SMC quality had fallen off, but this ran circles around the Linksys from the moment I plugged it in. No more hard resets, stalled connections, or bad packets. It's tiny to boot, actually smaller than the DSL modem it's plugged into. Thanks Newegg.

Pros: Nice router with fast wireless.
Cons: Does not have a worthwhile DHCP management system. If you want to assign reserved IP addresses by MAC, don't bother with this router. This feature was in the previous 3 SMC Barricade routers that I owned; why, oh why, SMC, did you remove such a useful feature??

Pros: Disable Firewall is a major plus along with general ease of use. The price you pay for this router is amazing, the signal is strong and everything works!

Pros: DMZ Host. Port forwarding. DISABLE FIREWALL :) ALTOGETHER. Very fast Wireless - I pinged websites with the wired computer within a 1-2% difference. Better than any linksys I've EVER used. *I use the 128 bit WEP. The router came with a usb wireless adaptor as well. Great price.

Cons: The interface is horrible, saving config settings takes forever, AND it locked up the router most of the time I saved about 50% of the time. Pros: very good lasts really long after 5 years it got a lttle bad and started cutting but no so bad it's still good
Cons: it was alittle complicated setup coundn't fully understand and it didn't have much good distance but very good speed amazing good

Pros: I have literally deployed hundreds of the units all over Eastern North Carolina with a minimum of problems. I've used them as bridges, routers, access points, and repeaters. For the money they are hard to beat. I have WDS configurations thst hsve up to 25 units with multiple mode operation: wireless bridge/access point; wireless access point/repeater. Detachable antenna allows many options.
