Good hardware with just a few flaws. I've been using the ZyXel adapter for a few months now in a mixed PC and Mac environment. And while it is a good little adapter for these sorts of things, it does have shortcomings.
First the positives. I can't tell you how useful having a network finder can be when you're searching for a connection and have limited notebook battery life to burn. Or when you get suckered into setting up a network for a friend who lives in a brick building. The comprehensive information display is ...

Outstanding product I had been looking for a full-function WiFi finder and after reading a number of good reviews, bought it. It is also a USB 802.11g wireless adapter and an access point. I didn't actually need these features (although I might use them later), I was willing to pay extra to get a top-quality finder. I have not been disappointed in this product. I've traveled with it and it has performed as expected, locating all nearby hotspots, even better than my laptop can detect with it's build-in WiFi adapter....

Not Just Cool, It's the Ultimate Wi-Fi Gadget Tech Level: Ownership: This user purchased this item from Newegg
Comments: This clever Wi-Fi hotspot finder can detect all those 2.4/5GHz 802.11a/b/g networks - better than its OEM brothers which can only detect 802.11b/g. The LCD displays everything you need to know about the available Wi-Fi networks including SSID, signal strength, channel, & encryption. It may be a nice toy for hackers.
This USB 2.0 wireless adapter also has an...

The best of ALL worlds! I purchased the AG-225H when it was first released and I just can't stop playing with it! Even if I'm just at an airport or restaurant and I have some time on my hands, I'll turn it on just to see if there are any available access points. My recent trip with a few of my coworkers was great too because of the AG-225H. We only rented one room and had to share one internet cable. But with the Access Point function on the AG-225H, we could share one connection! Best bang for the buck device of ...

Works as advertised (a cool gadget) This is one of the 'only' usb wi-fi adapters that currently supports Mac OS X.
For folks that have aging apple hardware (older powerbooks, ibooks, iMacs etc;) its nice to have a working/supported solution out there!
Instructions aren't exactly straightforward, but the software/drivers for Mac OS X can be downloaded directly from the ZyXEL website.

Nice product! This turned out to be a nice product, as I figured it would be. It finds wireless hotspots and networks without even being connected to my computer. When connected to the computer, it picks up the wireless networks almost flawlessly and connects to them. The AP (Access Point) mode is also usefull if you have another wireless computer and want to transfer files and other information between them (obviously, some software tweaking will be requried to do so; you can't just plug it in and expect ...

Works as advertised This thing really does a good job at identifying wi-Fi networks. The unit also acts as a wireless adapter. the adapter worked better than the internal wireless card in my laptop. Also, Customer service is excellent. Unfortunately, I had my unit fail on me but Zycel was great in giving me a new one within 10 days. No hassle on the exchange.

Not a Happy Camper I bought this product because it was supposed to work with Macs. I was svery disappointed in the results. I was under the impression I could plug it in to a USB outlet and hook up to my local wifi network. First, I had to download the driver and I couldn't get that to work with a Mac. Ended up having to borrow a PC to download the Mac drivers. Then, and still, am having troubles installing the driver such that the product works like it should. Have sent several emails to Zyxel for help and recei...
