Great Buy I had hoped this would be great buy. I was NOT disappointed, This was a GREAT buy! I installed this laptop hard drive and loaded Windows XP, NO PROBLEMS.

Nice drive at a good price I bought this drive to replace the ailing 40GB, 4200 RPM drive in an aging Gateway 400SD4 laptop. I also added memory and a mini-PCI WiFi card, and I'm working on upgrading the CPU to a faster version. In short, this is going to be one of those Frankenlaptop projects! The drive installed easily, and so far seems to work flawlessly. Beyond that, there's not much to say - but I'm definitely happy with it.

Don't forget about the adapter. The delivery took about a day longer than I had expect. When I read everything I could on the internet about installing this hard drive, something was left out. On my Dell D810, there is an adapter that plugs in the ATA-6 pins of the hard drive. Don't forget to take it off the old drive and put in on the new drive. Pros: good price Cons: No one told me about the adapter.
