You CAN take it with you Maybe not the best bang for the buck in terms of cost per gigabyte, but this little drive is everything it says in the product description. Tiny and weighs almost nothing so it adds nothing when you're carrying it around with your laptop. I have a PowerBook G4 and I did have to reformat it for OS X (it comes formatted for FAT 32), but it's quick and easy. Highly recommend this for anyone who uses a laptop and needs more space.

Posh by Porsche I was looking for a small sized plug & play high capacity external hard drive to back up all my MP3s and videos onto and found this.
With a capacity of 100GB, it is small (about 1cm wider, and 2.5cm longer than my iPod) and extremely lightweight (180g), it is very convenient to carry about, and with a simple but sleek design by F.A. Porsche, it's not too bad to look at too.
Supplied with a black, velvety pouch, it comes with USB and firewire cables, as well as a power ...

Ideal 100GB portable external drive If you need to carry around alot data in your briefcase, this might be just the product for you. Yes, there are bigger external drives for less money, but their size and weight are too much to be a viable briefcase option. Not only is this drive light, but it doesn't need a charger cable. Instead, it uses a USB cable to get power from a second port. The Porsche design is an additional nice-to-have considering the price tag. Two thumbs up!

You have to see this drive in person to appreciate it I ordered this drive because I loved the size and look of it (inside it is the same as many other options). When I received it and opened the box I was blown away. The pictures don't do it justice. It is so small and elegant looking and it comes with a nice soft case which makes it great for carrying around with your laptop.
I love this drive and would definitely buy another Lacie drive in the future.

Excellent; Firewire is work extra $ It took a few reader reviews for me to realize that the price difference between different Lacie models is attributable to some having USB only. I bought the drive with both and am delighted with the speed of data transfew. Also, I use SuperDuper! by shirt-pocket (a backup utility for Mac that's only about $28 and worth every penny). This software makes usage EASY and has an option to backup only files that have changed, so it's very fast.

Does the Job Device works exactly as expected. I am using it with a MacbookPro via firewire and an XP laptop with USB. Works great with both and I can transfer files between. Device is light, reliable, and fast. More expensive than other versions and brands but worth it.
