Pros: After extensive research I decided on the Toshiba Satellite L305-S5907. The 4MB ram and 320GB Hard drive is a huge bonus, not to mention the 64 bit operating system. The Toshiba is fast, quiet and two pounds lighter than my 3 year old Dell Inspiron 6000 which it replaced. It also runs way cooler and looks great. Other Thoughts: just to give a little bit of information here to clear up some confusion. your hard drive is really 320gb but when windows formats the hardrive you will always ( no matter what) lose a percentage of your drive. its just that simple. it will and has always been that way. hope this clears up the confusion.

Other Thoughts: its a 320 megaBIT hd which reads in windows as about 298 megaBYTES... ugh theres one more byte for every 8 bits or something i think... anyway i might get this laptop :P

Other Thoughts: A GB = 1024*1024*1024 bytes to everyone in the computer world except the HD manufacturers. They use the formula GB = 1000*1000*1000. If you take (320*1000*1000*1000) / (1024*1024*1024) you get 298GB. Some amount of blocks on the disk platters are always bad or can go bad d...

Pros: Everything this laptop was a steal at 599 when i purchased it. I can't say enough good things about it i know my g/f is going to love it for christmas. Great job Toshiba and newegg!

Cons: Nothing to big just some bloatware that can be uninstalled.

Pros: This a great notebook for the money. no were else can you find these specs for this $700. Lots of Ram, HD space, and a more than sufficent Processor. you won't Run high end games with it, but everything else will run great.
